Herbs & Spices Catering is the creation of Chef Wendy Shay. Wendy was raised in the Northern California Bay Area with exposure to the areas freshest ingredients and its incredible cuisine diversity, inspiring her passion for cooking.

After years of cooking for family and friends she decided to become a professional chef. Wendy received her culinary certificate from Tante Marie's Professional Culinary School in San Francisco.

Wendy founded Herbs & Spices Catering in 2001 and sense then has built a fabulous team of catering experts. The Herbs & Spices team will now create fabulous culinary meals for your celebrations, dinner parties, or cocktail parties. All custom menus feature the freshest ingredients the area has to offer, a pinch of creativity and a passion for cooking.

January of 2009, Wendy teamed up with her husband Shawn and opened Shay's Cafe in Alameda. Shay's Cafe is an East Coast West Coast Cafe specializing in East Coast Subs and West Coast gourmet sandwiches, homemade soups and build your own salads.
